IALT : Reflect about maths  


Today we had maths and it asked some questions
and told it how did we work it out and this is how
I did it :

There are 40 small squares in the chocolate block
















How many rows are hidden under the wrapping?
8

Please show your work. How did you
solve this problem?

It got 8 rows hidden under the wrapping.On the picture shows 8 pieces and so I took away 40 from 8 and got 32 and then I divided 4 with 32 and 4 comes from each row and I divided 4 by 32 and got the answer which was 8.

Maths - Number Ninjas - Flash cards

IALA: working out the answer for our Maths task.

Today I was playing flash cards.I used a very easy way

to work out the answer.Example(8x12).I just times 8 with 11

and then add another 8 equals 96.Isn't that simple.You can try it out if you are struggling.Hope you have learned something from

my blog today.

CARDS - MATHS

 WALT:Reflect when we where playing cards

Today I was playing cards with Matthew,Toma and Aumau.We were playing last card and whoever loses gets 5 multiplication questions and all you have to do is answer them under 3 seconds.We used some strategies like 12 x 8 and we solved it like 12 x 7 = 84 and plus with another 12 equals 96."Easy right".Remember to try it out if you don't know the answer.

Fractions of a set

WALT:Workout the questions and tell how did I solve it

Friday 8th of September 2017,room 9 had maths and it was all

about fractions I was working on ten questions,the first one was 1/5 of 40 and the answer was 8 and how I worked it out I thinked of a number that could times with 5 and get 40 and it was 8 and same with the other questions.One of the questions was 3/4 of 20 and I got 15,and how?,I see if there was a number that could times with 4 and get 20 and it was 5 and I times it with 3 which is on the nominator and get 15.
