Movie Wonder

IALT : Reflect about the wonder movie WONDER!!!

Today room 7 - 10 went to Sylvia Park Hoyts to watch the movie Wonder and some didn't come to the movie.What I enjoy about the movie was when Jack and Auggie was talking on minecraft and they became friends again.My favourite part of the movie was when Jack and Summer hanging out with Auggie.

The key messages that we can learn from this movie is 

1. To be kind to others

2. Don't Judge someones by their face

3. When given the choice to be right or to be kind and always pick kind

4.Being very respectful

At the movie was so funny and sad.We all learned something from this movie.

The book was almost like the movie but some parts of the movie didn't make it.At movies was cool and enjoyable.Hope you have a nice and safe day

Something that represents myself

IALT : Reflect about my drawing and what it represents

Today Ms Komor and Ms Aireen gave us a A4 paper to draw symbols that represents us and what I drew was my culture which was the Tongan culture and it was enjoyable drawing the pictures.What I found challenging is drawing and what I enjoy is tracing the pictures.After drawing we went into the other side of the room to present and it started from someone and keep on going and we all presented our drawings and what it represents and my one 

was not yet done.

We had to draw more then two drawings that represents you.I drew the Tongan man holding the word "TONGA"  and standing on the word "THE KINGDOM" because it represents my culture.The last thing I drew was the bible because it represents my church and also because I go to church every Sunday.I finished of my work roughly because I haven't finished it and the pictures I drew roughly was the family and the sport because it represents me as well.I really enjoyed it and it was very fun as well.

The first person to present was Kensington and he is in room 9 and after he presented it kept on going.I think the best person that I think was the best presenter and speaking with confidence was L.J,he drew very well and finished his work in time.Church represented him as well and also his culture and I did not remember the rest.We really enjoyed drawing and presenting.Hope you have a nice and safe day.

Kiwisport Reflection

IALT : Work hard to improve my dodging
and throwing


This Morning we had Kiwisport outside at the
big field and the coaches was two coaches
and one was called Alan Peters and the other one 
was a woman and I don't know her name.
Our first activity was dodgeball and
it was very fun and challenging and also
enjoyable.Coach Alan counted each people
and counted 1 and 2. 


1 and 2 means the team
team 1 and team two and if
you get hit by the ball you have to go
to the other team because Alan did not
wanted someone to get eliminated
and after 2 minute of playing that game
we did the elimination dodgeball game
and it was more challenging.


Our other
activity was just a bit of a warm up and
the activity was shot put and I think
you'll all know it and it is like discuss 
but a round shaped ball and have to throw it
and start the ball on your shoulder
then throw it and we needed to pair up
and my partner was Willow and he is my class.
What I found challenging was shot put
because it was hard to throw because
it was a bit heavy than I thought it was.
What I enjoy is the elimination dodgeball.

Test!!!

IALT: Reflect about my test and how it went

Today I had a test with some of the 
students.It was challenging
because it had some pretty hard 
questions and it was pretty hard to answer them.
The title of the story we were reading
and answering was called
Selkirk and that wasn't the
full name the full name
was called Alexander Selkirk
and it was a cool
story.I answered all the 
questions and double checked
it.I got one answer wrong and
that was question number 7.
I rewrote it again and
got the correct answer
and wrote my name on it.
What I found challenging
was answering the
question and what I enjoyed
was double cheking them and making
sure the answer was correct.

Manaiakalani Film Festival

IALT : Reflect about Manaiakalani Film Festival and how it went
Today we had Manaiakalani film festival
at HOYTS and it some Movie
were funny and some were sad and some
were just normal.The best movie that I
like was the movie about room 9 and
the movie was called Fitness.The schools
were at the movies was Point England and our school.
There were lots of movies and it
was enjoyable.Our school started with a
song and the song presenters was 
Akanesi,Losana and Ana.We really
enjoyed watching
the movies!!!!

Writing Test

Today we had a writing test and it was challenging for me because I had to come up with my own idea and this helped us out with our writing test :

Think about friendship.

Write to explain to your reader what being a good friend means.

Think about:

• what your reader needs to know about the topic
• how you are going to introduce your ideas
• the order of your ideas and how you link them.

Remember to:

• choose your words carefully
• take care with your spelling, punctuation, and sentences
• edit – add or delete words or sentences to improve your work

Fitness !

IALT : Reflect about fitness and how it did

Today after Morning tea we had fitness
with Kelly,Ms Kyla and Ms Komor.The weather
outside was getting warmer and first we started
with 3 lines and we started to run around the bike
track and after that the Kapa Haka students
went to kapa haka in the music room.After
running around the bike track
I was with Ms Kyla and my group and
we were doing step ups and squats  and that
was pretty hard for me to do
because I was running around the
bike track.After in Ms Kyla's
group we went to Kelly's group
and we did shuttle runs and that was
pretty hard too and the last
group was the group that
does planks and High Knees.
What I found challenging is
doing the planks because
I couldn't hold it much
longer.What I really enjoy is doing
High Knees because it was much easier for
me to move quickly.
After all our fitness we went
back in our lines and get ready
to go back to class and do our reading
test and after reading
we are going to go to kiwican and last
week at kiwican was fun.

Kiwisport!!!

Today we had kiwisport and it was  IALT : Reflect about kiwisport

very fun and it was my first lesson

for RUN JUMP THROW for 

Tamaki Primary.We had lots

of fun and our first activity

was called Capture the flag

and it was fun and it was boys

vs girls and 2 boys went to the

girl's team and the rest of the boys

were versing the girls and the

2 boys that went to the girl's team and

their names were Willow and Gary.

The next activity was called race

the ball and that game is cones everywhere 

and it is too hard

to explain.The games was enjoyable.

The game that I found

challenging was race the ball

because it is too hard to pass

the ball really quickly.The game

that I enjoyed was Capture the flag.

Explanation Writnig

IALT : Reflect about writing

Today  we had writing for
this Morning and we worked
on a docs called Explanation
Craft template and I worked with my
friend Tevita and we were working on 
the docs and other students was in my group 
too and their names were Demetrius,
Tevita,Monita,Matthew and Willow and
Willow is a new student of room 9.
There were 2 buddies working together
but except for Matthew,Willow and Demetrius
they were working together
and there were three of them because
they were the only ones 
left.What I enjoy was adding information
to the work and what
I found challenging is creating ideas 
for the work that we were working on.
Me and Tevita was working together and Monita and Vunivalu
was working together as well.
Willow,Matthew and Demetrius was working together as

CyberSmart - Infographic

IALT : Reflect about my infographic and cybersmart.

Today after writing we had cybersmart but without Ms Shearing because she didn't come and I was sitting beside Demetrius and he is a student of room 9 and I am in room 9 too.We designed an infographic about Netiquette and Netiquette means your behaviour online and that is what Netiquette means and Last week we had CyberSmart with Ms Shearing and she told us a website called Canva - LINK.We created a infographic about Netiquette and I wrote what should you DO online and DON'T do online here is a image of my infographic ↓↓↓

IALT : REFLECT ABOUT ME PLAYING TOUCH

Today room 9 boys and some of

the room 10 boys came to play

with us and it was very fun.

We had 2 teams challenging

each other and we played on the

top court.We enjoyed it and

what I enjoy was running

with the ball.What I found

challenging was trying to

get through the gaps on the

other teams.We played on

lunch time.But some of the other

boys were playing basketball and

some of the other boys was haging out with the others.

I haven't got any tries but I

still enjoyed it.The only boys

from room 10 was Kauri,Michael

and Curtys and that was the only boys

in room 10 was okaying with us and

some of the room 9 boys

played basketball and hanging

out with others.The room 10 boys that 

I told you was having fun too and they

had tries.Touch was fun and enjoyable.

Some of the boys were absent.

Maths Reflection

IALT : Reflect about maths  


Today we had maths and it asked some questions
and told it how did we work it out and this is how
I did it :

There are 40 small squares in the chocolate block
















How many rows are hidden under the wrapping?
8

Please show your work. How did you
solve this problem?

It got 8 rows hidden under the wrapping.On the picture shows 8 pieces and so I took away 40 from 8 and got 32 and then I divided 4 with 32 and 4 comes from each row and I divided 4 by 32 and got the answer which was 8.

Fitness!!!

IALT : Reflect about fitness


Today we had fitness, but we didn't
have cross country because we already
had the tournament and the tournament
was at bailey road.We had fitness
with Kelly,Ms Kyla and Ms Komor.
I was in group 2 with Ms
Kyla and we did
step ups and squats and after each
group we have to go to the other
group and after that we have to the
next group but their was only
3 groups.After in Ms Kyla's
group we went to Kelly's
group and did shuttle runs and
after Kelly's group we
went to Ms Komor's
group and what we did was 
Lunges and Star jumps
but some of the boys
wanted to do planks which
to make it more challenging.
What I found challenging was
doing the planks because
it took every 10 seconds for me to stop
and go again and what I enjoy was
doing shuttle runs with
Kelly and it was a lot fun
than the other ones and they
were a little bit harder than I 
thought.We really enjoyed it
and it was a nice day.

Rugby Tournament !

IALT : Reflect about rugby and how it did

Today I went to the rugby
with the boys. The girls was just
from room 8 and room
10 but most of the rugby 
team was just from
room 9 and it was just boys. We really
enjoyed it and we
had 4 games.The first game we
versed was called Glen Innes 
School and the second team
was Glenbrae School and the
other team was called
Glen Taylor.
The last team was called 
Panmure Bridge and
they were maroon.
We won all the games 
and we called ourselves 
undefeated.Other teams lost
some games and won
some games and the tamaki primary
girls as well , the girls lost
some games and won some.
We had our games at Dunkirk road
and which is at Marist.
We had a lot fun time.
Some of our team
were subs and we only
had 2 subs but for the Glenbrae team
we had to have 4 subs because
the glenbrae school
didn't have much players.

Back 2 school !

IALT : Reflect about going back to school


Today I am so excited about
being back at school again
and it was fun at home 
for the holidays. What 
I did at home was blogging
some and having too much fun.
But until today I am going to
talk about being back at school.
Yesterday was Monday
and which is the first day of school.
We had so much fun yesterday
and after Morning tea we had 
fitness and we didn't do the
cross country.What I found challenging
from the holidays is
getting ready for school
and preparing everything
for school.It wa
lit having holidays.
We had holidays for two whole weeks.
What I enjoy about the holidays 
was going to the movies
and going to the beach 
and the beach 
was called Bucklands
beach and Bucklands
Beach was a pretty
deep. But until
today and Yesterday
I am back at school.
